Configure a network bridge for KVM or libvirt on Slackware

1. When to use it

Useful when you want VMs to receive real network IPs instead of staying behind local NAT.

2. Base setup

ip link add name br0 type bridge
ip link set eth0 master br0
ip link set br0 up
brctl show

Adjust host names, IPs, interfaces, paths, and versions to the real system before making the change persistent.

3. Quick verification

bridge link
ip addr show br0
ip route show

Confirm that the output matches the expected state before considering the intervention complete.

4. Operational notes

If the host uses the same NIC, move the IP from the physical device to the bridge before calling the setup complete.
